ESO Provisioning can really come in handy for your gameplay experience, but who says these recipes won’t improve your real life as well? This is my recipe for Bananas in Moon Sugar Syrup that I made specifically to go with Banana Surprise. If you don’t feel like going all-out on the banana themed desserts, this can also make an excellent topping for ice cream, crepe filling, jam for toast, or even add it into your pancake batter for a sweet banana flavor.
Step 1:
First you’ll want to mash up your bananas with a fork until there are no longer any big, dry chunks. The riper the banana the better, just like with banana bread.
Step 2:
Add the bananas, sugar (optional), and water to a small sauce pan and bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 3 minutes. If the banana mixture is becoming too pasty add more water 1 tablespoon at a time.
Step 3:
Remove from the heat and stir in the cinnamon. This can be served warm, stored in the fridge for up to 4 days, or frozen for up to 3 months. To reconstitute the compote add 1 tablespoon of water and heat on the stove or microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring in between until desired temperature is reached.
Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas
3 tbsp water
1 tsp sugar (optional) – if bananas are under-ripe this will help with sweetness
pinch of cinnamon, to taste
